Transportation services are available for non-emergency medical appointments for qualified Medicaid recipients. The Cecil County Health Department also administers the Medical Assistance Ambulance Transportation Program for Cecil County residents All ambulance transport of Medical Assistance clients requires pre-authorization from the Transportation Program at the Cecil County Health Department. The medical facility requesting transport must call the program to obtain authorization for medically-necessary transportation for clients with a current Medicaid card number.
