There are four Mobile Crisis Teams located in Cecil, Dorchester, Kent, and Wicomico counties that cover 8 counties of the Eastern Shore. Mobile Crisis Teams consist of licensed mental health clinicians and counselors trained in de-escalation and crisis intervention in the areas of mental health, substance use, and situational crises. The Mobile Crisis Team is prepared for immediate dispatch to a mental health or substance use crisis 24/7. Once on the scene, an assessment is conducted to identify the severity of the crisis and implement immediate relief. A recovery and stability plan is then coordinated.
