ALA to make blankets for veterans

CEDARBURG - The chilly winter is coming and the veterans in the transitional programs at Zablocki VA Medical Care Center on 55th Street and National Avenue will need blankets for warmth and comfort.

The Peter Wollner American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 288 invites all Auxiliary and community members to join in at the Cedarburg Legion Post on the corner of Hilbert Avenue and Portland Road, Saturday, Jan. 21 for chili at 11 a.m. and fleece tied blanket-making in the afternoon. If chili is not your thing, then just come for blanket-making between 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m.
